When I headed out for some plein air time at this spot, I was hopeful I'd see some vibrant autumn foliage, but alas, there were only hints of it just getting started for the season. The light was spectacular, so I and a painting friend still stayed to paint on this glorious October morning. The location where I painted this is near Dillon Falls in Bend, OR.
