I participated in the Adirondack Plein Air Festival in August 2022 and just loved seeing how much people were enjoying a beautiful summer's day on canoes on the lake. There was this particular red canoe that really caught my eye against the clear blue of the lake. It just seemed so relaxing and I wanted to capture that feeling in my composition.
