The Cider Farm

I painted this during the 2021 Bath County Plein Air Festival on a farm in the Blue Ridge foothills. To get this perspective I was on a low stool, with my still life set up on a stack of Tupperware boxes from my car. I was happy with my sense of bright sun and the charming buildings in the background. The theme for the festival that year was the "still life," but very few artists chose to do them. It's a great opportunity to create the colors and shapes you want, though!
