Misty Morning

I painted this during the 2022 Blowing Rock plein air festival. The first day was so foggy and drizzly that visibility was zero. I collected these from the side of the road and set them in a jar and painted under a porch. The woods in the background faded into a soft blur. I love that this bouquet has all the stages of the bloom - from the bud to the drying stalk.
