The waters in Glacier National Park carry fine bits of glacial dust, giving the lakes and rivers their famous turquoise color. When currents slow, this optical effect is intensified as light bounces off the bottom of quiet pools. This studio piece is worked up from a plein air study on a peaceful morning in the park.
