Rosy Cottage

I painted this little cottage in the town of New Bern, NC, during a plein air festival with rainy, challenging weather. When the sun came out, I raced back to this spot and painted as quickly as possible, focussing on the bright pink roses and the stark shadows on the sidewalk.
