Leaving Marble Canyon and entering the Grand Canyon

This was on a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. It was my second trip so this time I took some pastels that would make it possible to capture some of the beauty. I took a picture of the scene and did a rough picture of it when we stopped for lunch and later when we stopped rafting for the evening. At home I redid the scene using one-point and atmospheric perspective.
