The iconic Hoover Tower of Stanford University and main campus buildings are magnificent. Their architectural beauty and imposing scale shock visitors. I wanted to capture the warmth of golden sandstone in evening glow. I was able to go there to paint 8 times in plain air and touch it up in studio at the same time.
