This is another in my ongoing series of paintings I have done of the waterfront located in the town of Manteo, in North Carolina’s famed Outer Banks. What draws me to a scene I are the “bones” for a good composition. What keeps me in a scene is strong contrasts; the lighting (values), and the colors. And this is what I have tried to convey here.
