Downpour Reservoir

I had to fashion an umbrella to my easel for this one! A light rain at first turned into a heavy downpour but I couldn't stop. The water that covered my palette made for an interesting effect, repelling oil in some areas and making for a more weathered look overall.
The piece was completed on site at Norton Reservoir in Massachusetts during late October. It is oil on wood board.
