Oyster

Food is the medicine of the soul, it is fundamental to survival, it is the foundation of celebration, and it provides health and energy. This sense of happiness, in any form of cuisine, acts as a source of nourishment and comfort: overriding the emotions of the outside world through the inside of the stomach.

My work examines the simple joys of a meal. I portray the oysters through a stylized oil painting, encapsulating the memories and raw emotions.
