Mylo in Pop up Tent

Our family maine coon cat, Mylo loves to go inside box shaped toys. For Christmas this year we got him a pop up tent and put toys in there to see if he would go in. My inspiration was to capture his beautiful golden eyes and long fur. I created this painting with oil paint on a canvas. I wanted to capture the green hues of the tent, while keeping Mylo's coloration as the emphasis of the painting. I liked the composition, placed off to the side in the rule of thirds.
