Downtown Louisville

I painted this watercolor on a very cold day in October in downtown Louisville. I was inspired to paint this scene because I arrived right as the son was coming up in the morning and peeking over a few buildings. I was drawn to the shadows and the play of warm and cool colors colliding as the sun was rising.
