September Splendor

I made a trip heading west from Helena near Avon, MT and the sun was beginning to cast very long shadows on the landscape and the foliage was glowing in the light. I loved the pattern that was created in the water with the rocks and how they lead my eye into the peaceful landscape. At first, I didn't even realize that there was a deer frozen in the shadows, bedded down and studying my every move.
